We walk together. We, Jews, Arabs and others,
representing all walks of life, join together in peace and walk silently in one
powerful line. Silence speaks.
As violence escalates in the middle east our spirits decline. Terror and
bloodshed breed fear and anger which furthers daily violence. We search for an antidote.
THE WALK is a wake
up call. For those of us who feel
powerless to change the reality of violence, we now have a way! The longest journey begins with one
small step. We take many steps together as sons of Adam and Abraham.
As we walk, our hearts beat a common rhythm. Our smiles heal ancient
wounds.
Is there an antidote to
violence? We
think there is.

is recommended to bring water and a snack

walk will take place in any weather. In case of rain, the meeting point will
not
change, but changes are possible in the
route.
The
Route:
§ Note: The camp for days 3 and 4 has changed from Ein Hemed to Har - Haruach. Please confirm by phone prior to arriving.
§ Day 1 - April 20th: gathering at 17:00 in Neve-Shalom (sleeping
in Neve-Shalom facilities)
§ Day 2 - April 21st: Neve-Shalom to Shoresh (sleeping in
Astronaut Forest)
§ Day 3 - April 22nd: Shoresh to Abu-Gosh to Har Ha-Ruach (camping
Har Ha-Ruach)
§ Day 4 - April 23rd: Holiday (camping and activities in
Har Ha-Ruach)
§ Day 5 - April 24th: Har Ha-Ruach to Ein-Karem (camping in St.
Vincent monastery grounds)
§ Day 6 - April 25th: Ein-Karem to Jerusalem (sleeping in The
Valley of the Cross scouts camp)
§ Day 7 - April 26th: Day Walk in Jerusalem (sleeping in The
Valeey of the Cross scouts camp)
§ Day 8 - April 27th: Day Walk in Jerusalem, Closing
ceremony.
