The ‘Wadi Ara Walk’ - Route and Activities.

 

Tue. 29th Oct. gathering in Pardeschanna (signs from the Egged Square).

Opening ceremony and the showing of a film about the first walk that took place from Jaffa to Jerusalem. Guests: Tammar Yaron and Ib Tissam.

Sleeping at Pardeschanna.

 

Wed, 30th Oct. walking towards Givat Chaviva, arrival at noon, lunch.

Walking towards the villages of Metzer-Meiser. In the evening, meetings, dialogues and activities with Jewish and Arab residents of the villages, will take place.

Thu. 31st of Oct. walking towards the village of Um el Kattaf, lunch in the olive grove near the village. Afternoon, walking to Kibbutz Barkai.

In the evening we will conduct Dialogue groups with residents of the settlement Elkana.

Fri, 1st of Nov. Walking towards Kfar Karra, around 12:30 reception from the head of the village. Walking together through the village. In the evening, activities and dialogue with the Vadi Arra Form.

Sat, 2nd of Nov. Kfar Karra, no walking. Activities with village residents: graffitie, olive picking, meditation etc.

Afternoon: dialogue groups.

Sun. 3rd of Nov. Walking to Um El Fachem. Reception In Um El Fachem by the town mayor, walking together through the town.

Evening: dialogue with the town’s people. Meetings between Jewish and Arab families whom have lost their dear one’s in the conflict: Amiram Goldin father of Omri Goldin who was killed at the Meiron junction bombing and the families of the October 2000 casualties.

Mon. 4th of Nov. Walking to Mei Ami, lunch, walking to Arra and from there to the gardens of Meis Alrim. Evening of music at Meis Alrim.

Tue. 4th of Nov. walking through Arra, closing ceremony, planting of the peace pole with the participants of the walk.
